Harchit Kaur
Associate
Harchit is a highly skilled commercial litigation and contested estates lawyer who has a passion to assist people from all walks of life who have a problem they can’t fix by themselves.
In recent years, Harchit has practiced in the Litigation and Disputes practice assisting individual clients and businesses in navigating disputes ranging from breach of contract, commercial disputes, breakdown of business relationships, insolvency, intellectual property, employment, negligence, property and leasing disputes and defending clients from actions brought by Australian regulators including the ASIC, ATO and ACMA.
Harchit also practices in the Contested Estates practice in which she represents clients bringing and defending complex family provision claims and advises on suits to compel executors to administer estates according to law (including their removal). She also acts for executors and beneficiaries in relation to applications for estate accounts and commission and provides advice to interested persons to seek guardianship and financial management orders where there are issues of capacity and undue influence.
Harchit is highly regarded by her peers as a professional and formidable opponent who offers strategic solutions, and they respect her comprehension of legal principles. Her clients often describe her as knowledgeable, responsive, and caring who helps bring them certainty in an otherwise uncertain situation.
Harchit is currently undertaking a specialist post-graduate program of LLM Applied Masters (with a double major in Wills and Estates and Commercial Litigation). In her spare time, she explores her creative side to paint, cook and dance.
